People with severe memory loss may remember tunes and words to songs from long ago. I've got "I'll Be Me," the documentary that records the singer's struggles with Alheimer's Disease, in my Netflix library. He could entertain audiences long after his daily struggles set on. We remember music differently, deeply, and therapists can use this to help patients battle against mental disease.

Today's news story documents an interesting field, music therapy, that helps people fight against the symptoms of cognitive decline. WZZM in Grand Rapids, Michigan, recently explored the topic of how music therapy can be used to help people in this area.
